Welcome to Taxiologists (“we,” “our,” or “us”). We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy governs the privacy policies and practices of our mobile application (the “App”) and our website http://taxiologists.online (the “Site”).

This document explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have in relation to it. If there are any terms in this privacy policy that you do not agree with, please discontinue use of our App and Site immediately.

1. Information We Collect

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you register on the App, or when you participate in activities generated by the dispatcher and management teams.

A. Personal Information Provided by You

Because the App operates as an internal enterprise utility for our privately managed fleet, accounts are manually provisioned by management. We securely store:

  • Names
  • Phone Numbers
  • Usernames and internal identification numbers
  • Driver licensing and vehicle details (if uploaded by management)

B. Live Location Data (App Specific)

To effectively manage fleet operations and dispatch rides, we request access or permission to track location-based information from your mobile device.

  • Active Tracking: When you are logged into the App and marked as “On Shift” or “Active”, we continuously collect your precise GPS location to facilitate real-time dispatching to the nearest client.
  • Background Location: We may request permission to track your device’s location in the background. This ensures that even if your device goes to sleep while you are on a route, management can still ensure driver and client safety.
  • Opting Out: You may change your preferences at any time by ending your shift within the App, which terminates location sharing, or by revoking the App’s access to your device’s location in your iOS or Android settings.

C. Cookies and Automated Browser Data

When you visit http://taxiologists.online, our servers automatically record information that your browser sends. This may include your IP address, browser type and version, the pages of our Site that you visit, the time and date of your visit, and the time spent on those pages. We use cookies to store login session states and preferences.

2. How We Use Your Information

We process your information for purposes based on legitimate business interests, the fulfillment of our contract with you, compliance with our legal obligations, and/or your consent. Specifically, we use collected data to:

  • Facilitate Account Creation: To manage internal employee and driver profiles.
  • Execute Dispatch Operations: To intelligently pair available drivers with incoming passenger ride requests based on geographic proximity.
  • Financial Calculation: To review shift reports, store total ride counts, calculate earned fares, and execute payouts.
  • Ensure Safety: To provide managers with an overview of the fleet’s live status, mitigating risks during active trips.

3. Will Your Information Be Shared With Anyone?

We only share information with your consent, to comply with laws, to provide you with internal services, to protect your rights, or to fulfill business obligations. We do not, under any circumstances, sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties.

Internally, data is securely isolated. Drivers can only access their own trip histories and shift calculations. Managers and administrative staff retain the necessary oversight to monitor the active fleet.

4. How Long Do We Keep Your Information?

We keep your information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this privacy policy unless otherwise required by law. When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either securely delete or anonymize such information. Ride histories and fare data are securely archived for payroll and taxation purposes.

5. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your region, you may have rights that allow you greater access to and control over your personal information. You may review, change, or terminate your account at any time.

If you wish to request an export of your historical shift and ride data, or request the deletion of your personal account, please contact your immediate manager or the system administrator directly.

6. Security of Your Data

We have implemented appropriate technical and organizational security measures—including encrypted database connections and role-based access controls—designed to protect the security of any personal information we process. However, despite our safeguards, no internet transmission is 100% secure.

7. Updates to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by an updated “Effective Date” and the revised version will be effective immediately. If material changes are made concerning location data handling, we will notify drivers via an in-app service memo.
